12 Vintage Atomic Glass Christmas Ornaments in Box, Glass Glitter Star Ornaments

Beautiful set of 12 vintage Poland atomic pattern spherical glass ornaments with hand painted decoration and shiny glitter accents, in original Fantasia storage box with great retro graphics. Circa 1950s.

These are some fabulous blown glass Christmas ornaments. Each round sphere features hand painted glitter design. Ten feature large glitter stars and smaller white stars bursting against a very light green/cream background. Two have a repeating scallop pattern. The original metal caps are intact and are stamped “Poland”. They measure 2.5 inches wide, and are in very good vintage condition free of chips or cracks. Some of the glitter has worn off, and there is some age related oxidation and flaking typical of ornaments of this era. The box is in good vintage condition but is missing part of one side which is shown in the photos.

SIDE NOTE: I’ve had this box of Poland ornaments for a very long time and have always thought they were a light cream/ivory color. When photographing the box, I saw that it is stamped “GREEN” on the side. Our fourth detail photo shows this hint of green rather well. It has faded over time but is still faintly present.
