1920s Antique German Glass Ornament Mary Pickford, Figural Character Christmas Ornament

Hard to find antique figural glass Christmas ornament of the silent film star in wonderful condition, circa 1920s. Wonderful!

This is a unique German blown glass character ornament, a sweet Mary Pickford and also sometimes referred to as An Angelic Girl. These character ornaments were based on famous figures of the day and were quite popular during the time. She is so lovely dressed in her silver robe with her long hair cascading down her back. The ornament is nicely molded showing an expressive face, draped robing, with one arm at her side and one held in front. The bottom comes to a lobed point.

She measures 3.75 inches tall to the top of the unmarked Lauscha style metal cap. It is in excellent antique condition free of chips or cracks, with minimal paint loss. There is the usual oxidation at the top.

What a fabulous and rare antique figural Christmas ornament. A must have for any antique German Christmas ornament collection. Thoughtful gift for the silent movie buff!
