1900s Glass Christmas Ornament Clown Germany, Vintage Glass Diamond Clown Ornament

Very nice antique German figural clown ornament in the classic diamond shape, circa 1900s.

He has nicely molded details to his clown suit with a ruffled collar and a big belly. The hat forms the tall pike, indicative of its age. He holds his hands in his pockets and his feet come to a pointed shape at the bottom. This form is referred to as the Diamond Clown shape. It retains the original Lauscha style cap with flat hanging loop.

It measures 3.75 inches tall and is in very good antique condition free of chips or cracks, the pike intact. There is some age related paint loss on the hat and the usual oxidation on the cap.

This is a wonderful antique glass Christmas ornament, avery thoughtful gift for the clown collector!
