1900s Antique Glass Ornament Snow Baby Child in a Snowsuit, German Christmas Ornament

Very early antique German figural glass Christmas ornament in wonderful condition, circa 1900s. Wonderful!

This is the classic “Snow Baby” the harder to find smaller version of the “Child in a Snowsuit” antique ornament. It wears a white snow suit over a silvered body. It has hand painted flesh colored face and hands, finished with bright eyes and a red dot mouth. The suit has a rough bumpy texture and the feet form a lobed bottom.

It measures 2.5 inches tall to the top of the unmarked Lauscha style metal cap. It is in excellent antique condition free of chips or cracks with minimal paint loss. There is the usual oxidation at the top.

What a fabulous antique figural Christmas ornament. A must have for any antique German Christmas ornament collection.
