1900s Silver Christmas Ornaments Lot, Six German Mercury Glass ‘White Tree’ Ornaments

Six very early 1900s German blown glass ornaments in various shapes, perfect for the Victorian “White Tree” Christmas decor!

The silvered glass is very thin and fine, typical of this early era of German glass ornament making. Silver and white ornaments became popular at the end of the Victorian era when a period of “The White Tree” became popular, simpler than the excessive and busy, heavily laden Victorian trees. This new preference had a more natural look, as if it would have been outside in the snow, all white and silver.

Included in this collection:

– 3.5 inch tall deep indent teardrop
– 1.75 inch round unsilvered indent
– 1.75 inch tall bell with glass clapper
– 1.25 inch two sided round embossed
– 2 inch round with stripes and squiggles
– 1.75 inch round with stripes and squiggles

All are in good antique condition free of chips or cracks. All show age related paint loss and oxidation, common for ornaments of this age of 120 years old!

This is nice varied assortment of old German ornaments, a wonderful addition to any collection and a good value sold as a lot!

We have a wonderful collection of many rare and hard to find antique pre-1946 figural ornaments!

And, a large selection of unique vintage Christmas decorations.
