1920s Antique German Large Paper Mache Blue Coat Santa Belsnickel Christmas Ornament

Wonderful hard to find very early paper mache blue coat Santa Belsnickel ornament with wonderful details, circa 1920s.

He stands with his hands held to the sides, his light blue suit so nicely molded. He wears black boots and a black belt with a gold Dresden star as the belt buckle! His hand painted face is wonderfully detailed with rosy cheeks and expressive blue eyes. The ornament features a bit of light gold glitter dusting here and there as a lovely accent. It is topped with a white tube bead for hanging. It measures 5 inches tall by 3 inches wide and is in excellent antique condition free of wear or damage.

This classic antique figural ornament is quite scarce, a must-have addition to any antique paper mache ornament collection, a special gift for the Santa collector!
