1920s Art Deco Unsilvered Glass Ornament German Red Bumpy Teardrop Christmas Ornament

Wonderful antique German unsilvered bumpy teardrop, circa 1900s to early 1920s.

Here we have a unique embossed bumpy ornament in a hard to find unsilvered red color. The thick center band is smooth and indented, wrapping around the form. It provides a nice contrast to the bumpy teardrop with a wonderful Art Deco feel to it.  The glass is very thin and fine, typical of this early era of German glass ornament making.

It measures 2.75 inches tall to the top of the cap by 1.5 inches wide and is in very good antique condition. The longer pike is intact and is topped with the original Lauscha style metal cap with flat hanging loop. There is a chip under the cap.

This early unsilvered red Deco style ornament is a bit rare. It will make a beautiful addition to your antique Christmas ornament collection, wonderful on a Patriotic tree!
