1920s German Figural Glass Head Ornament ‘Flapper Girl’ Flesh Face RARE

Wonderful antique German hand painted figural Flapper Girl Christmas ornament, circa 1920s.

Here we have a superbly molded sculptural glass ornament featuring a hand painted flesh colored face framed with curly blonde locks of hair that peek out of her light green hat. The glass is very thin and fine, typical of this early era of German glass ornament making, where each ornament was individually blown by mouth into a highly detailed mold and then hand finished.

It measures 2.75 inches tall to the top of the pike and is 2.25 inches wide. It is in very good antique condition free of chips or cracks, and just a bare minimum of minor paint loss. Her right eye has gone missing over these 100+ years, and this is rare ornament is priced accordingly. Hopefully a skilled new owner can paint a new pretty blue eye!
