1930s Figural Glass Tree Unsilvered Red Glass Ornament German Pine Tree Christmas Ornament
Rare as unsilvered, a nicely molded pine or fir tree ornament with long pointed finial, circa 1920s to early 1930s.
The glowing luminescence of the thin red glass is so beautiful as it catches the light! It is very delicate, made of thin blown glass the early ornaments are known for. It features six layers of angular overlapping tree boughs with snowy white mica accents on the edges. The pike makes the treetop and the bottom features a lovely long pointed finial. It still has the little ball of glass on the tip, where the glass blower ended. Wow!
It measures 3.25 inches tall to the top of the cap by 1.5 inches wide at its widest point. It is in excellent antique condition free of chips, cracks, or scratches with the pike intact. It retains its original Lauscha style metal cap.
This is a quite rare German unsilvered tree ornament, rather unique with the transparent red glass!
