Antique Figural Glass Ornament Man Clown Playing Accordion, Boy with an Accordion Christmas Ornament, Vintage German Blown Glass Ornaments

Harder to find early large size antique German figural man clown ornament with accordion, circa 1920s. Featured on page 70 of John Lightner’s “Christmas Rarities- Rare Antique German Glass Ornaments”, 2007 edition. Fabulous!

He has wonderful molded details in a seated position. What a wonderful kind face he has with his smiling red mouth, so happy! The hat forms the tall pike, indicative of its age. He holds the accordion instrument on his lap with the edges trimmed in green. The pike is topped with a metal cap and loop.

This fun antique German glass clown ornament is a large size measuring 3.75 inches tall. He is in excellent antique condition, free of chips or cracks. There is some age related paint loss.

This is an excellent figural glass Christmas ornament. A very thoughtful and unique gift for the collector!

SIDE NOTE: This ornament’s name is Clown Playing Accordion in the above mentioned Lightner reference book. It is also sometimes referred to Boy in Lederhosen Playing Accordion or Boy with an Accordion, and also Man Playing an Accordion.
