Antique German Glass Ornament Bumpy Egg, Double Sided Embossed Oval Star Indent Ornament Germany, Bumpy Glass Ornaments, 1900s

Wonderful early German double sided embossed Christmas ornament, a very hard to find bumpy star oval! Circa 1900s.

It is a rare form, featuring a deeply molded silver oval with abundant fine detail. A large six pointed star is framed inside a bumpy oval, with a smooth oval outside of that. The sides have a crimped bumpy pattern. Both sides feature this striking design. It retains its original Lauscha style metal cap with the flat hanging loop.

This wonderful antique glass ornament measures 3.5 inches tall to the top of the cap. It is in excellent condition free of chips or cracks, with just a bit of minor paint loss. Our photos show all sides of this amazing and rare ornament.
