Antique German Mushrooms Double Clip On Christmas Ornament Glass Spun Cotton

Hard to find antique German double clip Christmas ornament, two lucky spotted mushrooms, one mercury glass and one spun cotton. Fabulous!

This wonderful antique figural glass ornament features fine German craftsmanship. The larger pointed mushroom cap is blown glass, hand painted bright red with the white spots of the classic German mushroom, “Amanita muscaria”. This mushroom in Germany and most of Europe is considered a good luck charm, or “Glücksbringer”, (Good Luck bringer.) The second smaller mushroom is made of spun cotton, painted in the same manner.

They are attached to a metal clip and are framed with multiple rings of tucksheer greenery which mimics grass. It measures 2.25 inches tall including the clip, with the large mushroom 1.5 inches and the small one .75 inches. It is in excellent condition free of chips or cracks. The original metal clip shows oxidation but works beautifully.
