Antique Joey Clown Christmas Ornament, Figural German Glass Ornament Scary Clown Jester 1900s

Very early small blown glass clown Christmas ornament, circa 1900s Germany.

He’s delightful with that scary Joey hand painted face with his wide grin! He is nicely molded with lots of detail to his facial features and the bright pink ruffled collar. He wears the classic clown hat which becomes the pike.

It is topped with the original Lauscha style metal cap with flat hanging loop. He measures 2.5 inches tall to the top of the cap and is in good condition with some silvering loss and a chip on the pike which the cap mostly covers.
