Striking vintage blown glass clip on cockatiel bird Christmas ornament, in a vivid bright color combination of green, gold, and blue. Finished with gold glitter accents, mid century!

It is simply wonderful, featuring a bright gold body that graduates to a lime green with blue. The bird is highly sculptural with finely molded feather and wing details. The crest on top of the head is also bright green. Its point tip still has the tiny ball of glass where the glass blower ended. Wow! The breast and face have shades of orange and the hand painted beak is bright red. The tail feathers are the original spun glass. A single spring leg is attached to a gold metal clip. There are gold glitter accents on the head and wings to finish this beautiful ornament.

It measures 6 inches, crown tip to tail end. The blown glass body is 4 inches. It is in excellent condition free of chips, cracks, or paint loss. There is a bit of minor oxidation at the tail end.
