Vintage Corning Glass Christmas Ornament Lantern, American US of A Prewar Ornament 1940s

Very early Corning USA glass ornament, an unusual and rare paneled lantern shape!

This is a wonderful and harder to find vintage American ornament that was first released in 1939. It features four tapering panels which culminate in a rounded bottom with a small finial. The edges of the panels are ribbed and smooth. Hand painted white flowers repeat around the form. It retains the original metal cap which reads “Made in US of A” which helps to date this.

It measures 3 inches tall to the top of the cap and is in good vintage condition free of chips or cracks. There is age related paint loss as shown and it is priced accordingly.

This is a classic early Corning Glass Christmas ornament, in a harder to find shape. A great addition to any USA ornament collection!
