Vintage Chick Egg Art Diorama, Pom Pom Chick in Egg Nest Ornament, MCM Christmas Decorations

Very sweet mid century hand crafted egg art diorama, featuring a soft fuzzy pom pom chick peering out from her safe egg nest! Circa 1970s, American made.

This is such a cute vintage decoration or ornament,  featuring a baby chick freshly hatched, sitting in its genuine eggshell. It is made of soft yellow chenille with white tail feathers in the back. Its eyes are made of small black seed beads and it has a small red wood beak. The egg is open on both sides and is trimmed with wavy gold bric a brac. The outside is painted a soft orange with pretty orange flowers circling the form.

It measures 2.75 inches tall. This was made by a woman in upstate New York, USA, who made a large array of these lovely mid century egg art dioramas. It is in very good vintage condition, free of cracks or chips, somewhat amazing for its fragile nature and age! Our photos show all sides of this fun piece, rotating clockwise.
