Vintage Large German Glass Ornament, 5.5″ Pine Cone Blown Glass Christmas Ornament, 1950s

Lovely 5.5″ jumbo size vintage German glass pine cone Christmas ornament in amazing, perfect condition. Circa 1940s.

Here we have a very hard to find extra large hand painted molded glass pine cone ornament. It is simply wonderful, featuring sparkly gold glass that fades to an unsilvered area at the top which is painted bright green. The ribs of the pine cone are hand painted in white to mimic snow, and they are dusted with super fine sugar mica sprinkles. Fabulous!

It measures a huge 5.5 inches tall to the top of the cap and about 2 inches wide. The pike is long and thick and is topped with a scalloped metal cap and hanging loop. It t is in excellent condition showing a minimum of wear or paint loss.
