Vintage Glass Christmas Garland Torpedo Beads Japan, Antique Beaded Glass Tree Garland

Fabulous vintage hand strung mercury glass Christmas garland with fancy atomic torpedo beads, circa 1950s, Japan.

The hard to find multi color torpedo beads measure one inch wide and have a nice bumpy center band. They alternate with silver double beads which are about a quarter inch each. It is one continuous strand measuring 54″ and is in excellent vintage condition. The colors are still crisp and vibrant. There is one broken large green bead but we left it as is for added color, and as part of its history. There are one or two small broken beads, which is somewhat amazing considering its age and the fragile nature of the thin glass. One end is tied into a small loop by a previous owner.

This vintage glass garland is rare with the multi color large torpedo beads. Usually, they are all one color. Makes a fabulous display on a tree or other vintage holiday decor!
