Vintage Glass Christmas Ornament Corn, German Figural Glass Food Vegetable Ornament 1940s

Excellent vintage German glass ear of corn Christmas ornament with nice detail! Circa late 1940s to early 1950s.

It is bright gold-orange and deeply molded with a great bumpy texture and classic shape. Two dark leaf bracts appear on each side. The darker colors are indicative of its age, right after the war when the early paint formulas had been lost. It measures 3.25 inches tall to the top of the original unmarked Lauscha style cap. It is in excellent antique condition free of chips or cracks, with just one small dot of paint loss.

Makes a wonderful addition to any vintage ornament collection, nice to display in a bowl with other vegetables and fruit ornaments too!
