Vintage Glass Clip On Bird Ornament, Gold Magenta Figural Glass Bird Christmas Ornament Spun Glass Tail, 1950s

Wonderful vintage blown glass clip on bird Christmas ornament, circa 1950s.

The bird has nicely molded feather and wing details. It is a bright gold color with magenta wings and a pointed beak. The tail feathers are the original spun glass aged to a silvery-gray.

It measures 6 inches long, beak tip to tail end. The blown glass body is 3.25 inches. The spring legs are attached to the rectangular unmarked metal clip which has been painted green by a previous owner. It is in very good vintage condition free of chips, cracks, or breaks. There is some minor paint loss and the usual oxidation at the tail end and clip.
