Vintage Glass House Diorama Ornament Wood Santa and Brush Tree Mid Century Christmas

Unique vintage glass diorama Christmas ornament, featuring a wonderful wood Santa and a decorated brush tree! Mid century.

The adorable Santa wears his classic red suit and a pointed felt cap. His face is hand painted and he is finished with a white cotton beard. Wood arms and legs protrude from the seated body. A wonderful flocked brush tree is at his side, decorated with three large round foil ornaments, one magenta, silver, and gold. (They are hard to see in the photos but are securely attached.) The tree sits on a wood base.

The simple glass diorama is house or manger shaped and consists of a base, pitched roof, and two slanted sides. The roof and bottom are clear glass panes, wrapped in brass and soldered together. It is finished with a metal hanging loop and gold cord. It measures 2.25 inches tall and 2.5 inches wide. An original Made in Taiwan foil label is still attached on the bottom. It’s in excellent vintage condition free of damage or wear. There is some oxidation to the brass which adds to its vintage character.
