Vintage Glass Ornament Boys Head Boy in Nightcap Figural Christmas Ornament

Wonderful vintage blown glass figural Christmas ornament, the classic “Boy Head” or “Boy in a Nightcap” circa 1950s

It is simply wonderful with an expressive hand painted face framed with curly locks of hair! The face conveys a childlike softness with rounded cheeks and a small nose. The hand painted features include bright eyes and a red mouth which echoes the color of the nightcap hat. Blonde hair locks peek out of the front and also the back of the winter hat.

It measures 2.5 inches tall to the top of the cap and is in excellent condition free of chips, cracks, or paint loss. The pike is intact, and is topped with the original metal cap and hanging loop which is stamped, “Czechoslovakia”.

What a delightful 1950s glass Boy in a Nightcap Christmas ornament. A classic must have for any figural Christmas ornament collection. A very thoughtful gift!
