Vintage Corning Carousel Lantern Prewar Christmas Ornament, US of A Ornament 1940s

Very early Corning USA glass ornament, an unusual “fancy shape” barrel carousel lantern in red!

This is a wonderful and harder to find vintage American ornament that was first released in 1939 and discontinued after the war. It features multiple tapering panels which culminate in a rounded bottom.

It measures 2.5 inches tall to the top of the original US of A metal cap and is in very good vintage condition free of chips or cracks, with a bit of age related paint loss on one side.

This is a wonderful early Corning Glass Christmas ornament, in a harder to find shape. Quite rare with those few production years, a great addition to any USA ornament collection!
