Vintage Japan Glass Diorama Ornaments IOB 3D Mica Indent Reflector Christmas Ornaments 1950s

Excellent harder to find set of five vintage Japan glass indent diorama ornaments. In original box, circa 1950s.

These wonderful ornaments are made of thin blown glass, silvered and painted a nice bright color. One half of the interior is covered with a layer of white mica snow. The diorama figures complement the bright snow and really stand out. The set includes:

1 – Blue glass with a Santa bust figure made of spun cotton and chenille, wearing a red silk bow. He’s the classic red coat Santa wearing the classic cap, his pipe cleaner arms raised up in greeting.

1 – Red glass with a floral arrangement consisting of two tall embossed silver foil leaves, red composition berries, and a small chenille candy cane in the center.

1 – Gold glass with a blue-green bottle brush wreath, topped with a gold silk bow. Red mercury glass beads decorate the wreath.

1 – Blue glass with a floral arrangement consisting of two tall embossed silver foil leaves, red composition berries and a candle, and one mercury glass bead. Two white brush tree limbs frame the arrangement.

1 – Pink glass with Santa in his sleigh with a gold reindeer. There is a lot of fine detail to this figure, Santa in red with a sack over his shoulder, his sleigh features fancy trims.

A light band of silver glitter circles each rim. Four ornaments have metal caps, two with wire hanging loops. Each ornament measures 2 inches wide and all are in excellent vintage condition free of chips or cracks. The figures are all intact and bright. There is a bit of glitter loss but minor. These come in their original box complete with the cushion insert which holds each ornament securely. The exterior features fun period holiday graphics. The box measures 7.25″ x 5.25″ and is in very good vintage condition, the cellophane intact. There is one corner tear.

This is such a fun set of glass indent diorama Christmas ornaments, so nice in their original box. Makes a great addition to any Japan ornament or diorama collection. The two different Santa dioramas are extra special!
