Vintage Pom Pom Chicks in Nest Chenille Germany, Putz Decorations, Animal Putz

Really fun trio of vintage German pom pom chicks, a sweet family huddled in their real bird nest! Circa 1970s.

This is such a cute vintage Christmas decoration, featuring a baby chick freshly hatched, sitting in its genuine eggshell. The parents sit snugly beside it, the male larger than the female. All are made of soft yellow chenille with red chenille forming their beaks and the adult head combs. Yellow pipe cleaner chenille forms their tail feathers in the back. The baby chick’s eyes are made with small black seed beads, and the adults have big blue paper eyes. They sit in a genuine bird nest formed of grass which is lined with dark green chenille. A large light yellow feather adorns the piece. It measures 2.5 inches wide and about 2 inches tall. This is German made, of fine quality and in excellent vintage condition.
