Vintage Shiny Brite Glass Ornament, Large Mica Stripes Christmas Ornament, 1950s

Striking large Shiny Brite striped Christmas ornament, featuring two colors of thick mica bands alternating with red and blue stripes. Circa 1950s.

This is a wonderful vintage Shiny Brite ornament. The sparkly white mica appears at the top and bottom of the ornament and also as a center stripe. Hard to find yellow-gold mica makes two stripes around the form. A thick band of red and bright blue give it a bit of a patriotic feel to it. It is finished with the classic metal ribbed cap and loop which reads, “Shiny Brite Made in U.S.A.”.

It measures 3 inches tall to the top of the cap, and is in excellent vintage condition. The colors are still so crisp and bright, the mica intact and strong. Our photos show both sides of this fabulous Shiny Brite ornament. (The dark area on the right is a camera reflection and is not on the actual ornament.)
