1930s Vintage Japan Kugel Like Christmas Ornament, Blue Bumpy Egg Berry Glass Ornament

Classic very early glass Japan outdent ornament, a harder to find kugel like bumpy! Circa 1920s-30s.

Japan first started making Christmas ornaments for the American market in the mid-1920s and these kugel-like ornaments mimicked the well known German kugels of that time. It is a brilliant bright blue with round bumpy vertical lines that repeat around the form. It is an egg or berry shape with a lobed bottom. The original metal cap is attached which is marked Japan. It measures 1.75 inches wide and 2.25 inches tall and is in excellent antique condition free of chips, cracks, or repairs.

Antique Japan kugel like ornaments are hard to find, and this bumpy outdent design is quite rare. It will make a nice addition to any collection or display, a nice gift for the Japan ornament collector!
