Vintage Santa Claus Salt or Pepper Shaker Japan, Ceramic Santa Head, Christmas Tableware 1950s

Charming vintage Santa head shaker, hand painted with gilt accents. Circa 1950s, Japan.

He is cold painted, wearing the classic red hat with bumpy white trim which has stippled gilt accents here and there. He has a sweet smiling face with rosy cheeks, big blue eyes, and a bright red mouth. It measures 3.5 inches tall by 3 inches wide and is stamped “Japan” on the bottom. It retains its original plastic stopper and is in very good vintage condition free of chips or cracks. There is some light crazing and a bit of paint loss on the hat.

What a perfect addition to any Santa or shaker collection, a thoughtful gift for someone specical!
