Vintage Glass Clip On Bird Ornament, Figural Glass Bird Christmas Ornament 1950s

Wonderful vintage blown glass clip on bird Christmas ornament, circa 1950s.

The bird has nicely molded feather and wing details. It is a bright gold color with greenish-gray wings and a pointed beak. The tail feathers are the original spun glass.

It measures 5.75 inches long, beak tip to tail end. The blown glass body is 3 inches. The unique “U” shaped spring legs are attached to the rectangular unmarked metal clip which has been painted green. It is in very good vintage condition free of chips, cracks, or breaks. There is some minor paint loss and the usual oxidation at the tail end and clip.

What a beautiful and striking vintage glass bird ornament. A fabulous addition to any antique ornament collection, a thoughtful gift for the bird lover!
