1890s Extended Legs Keystone Cop Policeman Dome Cap Figural Glass Christmas Ornament

Amazing antique German policeman “Keystone Cop” figural glass ornament with annealed extended legs and topped with an antique dome cap! Circa 1890s to very early 1900s.

He is wonderfully and expertly molded, the blown glass body showing uniform details and a great facial exprsssion. The two blown glass legs are annealed, attached at the base of the body with curved tips as boots. It measures 4.75” tall and is in excellent condition especially for its age, free of chips or cracks. There is some age related paint loss and light wear. The dome cap is still intact and secure which helps to date this old gem.

This early ornament is very striking, a perfect must-have addition to any figural ornament collection or on an authentic Victorian Christmas tree. Getting harder to find!
