1900s Antique Embossed Disk Ornament Germany, Double Glass Christmas Ornament Potted Tree Rose, Bumpy Geometric Mercury Glass Ornament

Lovely hard to find antique German embossed disk Christmas ornament, a potted tree or rose bush with a diamond indent on the other side! Circa early 1900s.

Here we have a rare embossed bumpy double sided disk ornament in a lovely silvered color. It features fantastic molding with a 3D flowering tree in a pot and deep raised bumpy design patterns all around the form. The back has a deeply molded triple diamond design. So unique!

The glass is very thin and fine, typical of this early era of German glass ornament making, where each ornament was individually blown by mouth into a highly detailed mold. It measures 3 inches tall to the top of the cap and is 2 inches wide. There are a few small flecks of color here and there, likely old remnants from long ago.

It is in very good antique condition and is topped with the original unmarked Lauscha style metal clap with flat hanging loop. There is the usual age related oxidation on the pike area. There appears to be a faint hairline crack on the bottom of one side. (The glass is smooth, and is not open along the line.)

It is an amazing and quite rare early German ornament. It will make a beautiful addition to your antique Christmas ornament collection!
