1900s Antique German Christmas Ornament Large Red White Teardrop Glass Ornament

A beautiful large antique German blown glass Christmas ornament, circa early 1900s.

The silvered glass is very thin and fine, typical of this early era of German glass ornament making. The design features hand painted red and white thick vertical bands. The large teardrop is just slightly tilted to one side, indicative of a free blown ornament, not from a mold. It measures a large 3.25 inches tall to the top of its original unmarked Lauscha style metal cap. It is in very good antique condition free of chips or cracks with minimum paint loss. There is a bit of crackling and silvering loss.

This very early large ornament will make a beautiful addition to your antique figural ornament collection. Perfect for a patriotic tree!
