1900s Antique German Frosted Santa with Tree Clip Ornament, Unsilvered Glass Santa Belsnickle

He is wonderfully simple, full of nicely molded details. His blown glass body is unsilvered with a coating of glass frosting, attached to a very old clip. Circa early 1900s, Germany.

He holds the Christmas tree over his left shoulder in the classic pose. His pointed cap features the tiny ball of glass where the glass blower ended. Wow! He measures 4 inches tall including the clip. The blown glass body is 3 inches tall which is inserted into the coil cup with its fancy serrated clip. This fine ornament is in very good antique condition free of chips or cracks. We do not believe it was ever silvered, and there is quite a bit of loss to the frosty, ground glass coating. Our photos show all sides of this amazing ornament.
