1900s Antique German Glass Indent Ornament Lyre with Scrap Girl, Victorian Free Blown Glass

Late 1890s to early 1900s free blown German Christmas ornament in the Victorian style, featuring a sweet little girl paper scrap on top of the bright radial indent!

It is silvered, then lacquered with a bright copper color with an amazing silver indent. The paper scrap shows so much detail that the Germans are known for.

It measures 4.75 inches tall and is 3 inches wide. The round sparkly indent is 1.25 inches wide. The paper scrap is adhered to the center pike. The ornament is in excellent antique condition, showing minimum wear or paint loss. The paper scrap is still very crisp and bright; it appears perhaps the left arm has gone missing over these many years. An original cotton cord hanging loop is present, a part of its history and adding so much character.
