1900s Antique German Tinsel and Glass Christmas Ornament Composition Berries, Victorian Tinsel Ornament

Gorgeous hard to find antique tinsel and glass ornament featuring two kinds of silver tinsel and red berries! Circa early 1900s.

The center glass sphere is such a lovely red-pink color, unsilvered and measuring 1.5 inches wide. The bottom of the ornament has three long curved twists of thicker brush tinsel. The top has the most wonderful grouping of red composition berries, inserted within a spray of silver tinsel strands. The berries have amazing detail, with a bumpy pebbled texture, bright red color, and even green bracts! They are attached to a green wire stem. The ornament is finished with an original period cotton cord hanging loop, always a nice bonus on these antique finds!

It measures 6.25 inches tall and 3 inches wide. It is in excellent antique condition free of chips or cracks. There is a bit of minor age related paint loss on the sphere.

This antique ornament is so elegant and beautiful, making a lovely statement on the Christmas tree. A beautiful addition to any antique German or Victorian tinsel glass ornament collection.
