1900s Large Antique Glass Ornament Germany 5.5″ Horn Bugle, Free Blown Glass Music Instrument Christmas Ornament

Wonderful hard to find extra large antique German free blown glass trumpet horn ornament, circa early 1900s.

It is a bright silvery-gold glass horn measuring an impressive 5.5 inches wide. The horn cup is fluted with alternating red and gold swirls. It retains its original Lauscha style metal cap. An original thin wire hanging loop is also attached, always a nice bonus on these antique ornaments. It retains its original whistle disk on the end. We have not removed the cap to test it but it might still whistle!

It is in excellent antique condition free of chips or cracks, with a bit of typical age related oxidation. Our photos show multiple views of this early German ornament.

This is a fine antique glass horn Christmas ornament to add to your collection, so rare at this large size. Makes a thoughtful gift for the musician in your life!

SIDE NOTE: Free blown ornaments were made without a mold, blown by the artist and shaped with a paddle. This technique was very time consuming, thus, these ornaments are much more rare than the classic mold blown figurals.
