1920s Antique German Bumpy Christmas Ornament Railroad Lantern Feather Tree

A wonderful early antique German bumpy Christmas ornament featuring an Art Deco design with four different patterns on each side! Circa 1900s-1920s.

This is a very early version of the classic railroad lantern or light. It is a lovely silver with gold accents on some of the geometric forms. It has a wonderful deep bumpy texture throughout and a bumpy lobed bottom. One side has the two large round indent bumps as the “lights”, then a tall gold triangle, then a row of horizontal gold bumps, then a row of vertical bumpy lines.

It measures 2.25 inches tall and is in excellent antique condition, free of chips or cracks. The paint is still bright with a bit of age related paint loss. It retains its original Lauscha style metal cap.
