1920s Antique German Glass Christmas Ornament RARE Small Version Angel Fish Ornament

Wonderfully molded antique blown glass fish Christmas ornament in a hard to find 2″size! Circa early 1920s.

This is a superb small German angelfish ornament. The glass is very thin and fine, typical of this early era of German glass ornament making. It features a bright silver body with a few color accents. It is deeply molded, showing graduating sizes of fish scales, gills, and fins. Its large eyes and expressive mouth are simply wonderful, in addition to the fancy fanned tail in the back.

It measures 2.25 inches tall to the top of the cap and 2 inches wide. It is in excellent condition free of chips or cracks, the silvering still very strong. The pike is topped with the original unmarked metal Lauscha style cap. Our photos show all sides of this amazing ornament.
