1920s Antique German Glass Ornament Eagle on a Leaf Large Embossed Christmas Ornament

Fabulous, superbly molded antique German glass outdent Christmas ornament, a hard to find eagle on a leaf. Circa 1920s.

This large silver embossed ornament features fantastic molding with a 3D eagle outdent protruding from a three lobed patterned leaf. The wings are open and spread for flight. It measures 3.25 inches tall to the top of the cap and is 2.5 inches wide. It is topped with the original unmarked Lauscha style metal clap with flat hanging loop. It is in very good antique condition free of chips or cracks. There is a bit of silvering loss at the top.

It is an amazing early German ornament. It will make a beautiful addition to your antique figural Christmas ornament collection. A thoughtful gift for the bird lover or or on a Patriotic tree!
