1920s Antique Girl in a Beehive Glass Ornament, Pre 1946 Figural Christmas Ornament

Harder to find antique figural glass Christmas ornament in wonderful condition, circa 1920s.

This delightful ornament features superior molding with the deep indents of the hive that circle the form and the adorable little girl peeking out at the top. A large bee is embossed on the front, full of detail. The bottom comes to a lobed point.

It measures 3.25 inches tall to the top of the unmarked Lauscha style metal cap. An original stiff wire hanging loop is attached, left on as part of its history. It is in excellent antique condition free of chips or cracks, with minimal paint loss. This is listed as an R2 rarity in Lightner’s Rare Christmas Ornaments book.

What a fabulous early figural Christmas ornament. A must have for any antique German Christmas ornament collection.
