1920s Figural Christmas Tree Antique German Clip On Glass Ornament

Very pretty antique German clip on Christmas ornament featuring a snow flocked glass fir tree! Circa 1920s.

The glass is very thin and fine, typical of this early era. It is bright pink and features six layers of angular overlapping tree boughs which are finished with white paint as snow flocking. The pike makes the tree trunk and the top features a lovely pointed finial. It still has the little ball of glass on the tip, where the glass blower ended. Wow!

It measures 4 inches tall with the antique metal clip. This clip is gold-flashed which is a bit rare and indicative of its age. The glass tree itself is 3 inches tall and fits inside the metal coil cup securely. It is in excellent antique condition free of chips, cracks, or scratches.

This lovely early glass figural tree ornament is a must-have for any antique German ornament collection, a thoughtful gift for any Christmas collector!
