1930s German Wood Toys Lot of 34 in Net Bag Christmas Ornament, Vintage Wood Animals Putz

Antique German small wood animals toys, a 34 piece set in a net bag with original Made in Germany paper label. Hand crafted German Erzgebirge putz toys, circa 1930s.

This is an amazing, colorful set of vintage German wood putz toys, as new and never been played with. Each hand crafted piece is sanded smooth then nicely painted in bright color lacquers. The set includes
– 8 green trees (two styles and sizes) – 4 red people
– 2 black horses, – 2 gray elephants, – 2 pink pigs
– 2 brown rabbits, – 2 black dogs, – 2 black cows
– 4 brown cows, – 6 sheep

The 34 pieces measure 1.25 to 1.5 inches and all are in excellent vintage condition free of scratches, wear, or missing parts. A blue and white paper label is wrapped around the bag at the top, printed, “Made in Germany” which helps to date this set. Unfortunately, over these many decades several holes have opened, which can be seen in the photo details. This originally would have been hung on the Christmas tree as a present for a child to find on Christmas morning.

It’s a fabulous early set of fine German craftsmanship, so wonderful that all of the pieces are still kept together. This is a must-have for the antique Christmas collector, perfect antique putz decor!
