1930s Japan Santa Christmas Ornament, Pre 1946 Figural Glass Ornaments

Classic early glass Japan Santa ornament, circa 1930s.

He stands in the classic pose, holding a sack over his shoulder with his hands held in front. His face is hand painted and finished with blue dot eyes and pink mouth. He wears his red Santa suit trimmed in white and the feet form a rounded lobed bottom.

It is in good antique condition free of chips or cracks. There is considerable age related silvering and paint loss. The metal cap has been replaced.

This classic antique Santa will make a nice addition to any figural ornament collection or display, a nice gift for the Santa collector!
