1940s Antique German Glass Christmas Ornament Clip On Owl, Figural Blown Glass with Tucksheer Ornament

Hard to find antique German clip on glass Christmas ornament, a wise old owl. Fabulous, circa 1940s Lauscha!

This wonderful antique figural glass ornament features fine German craftsmanship. A silvery-brown owl features nicely molded feather and wing details. He is finished with black dot eyes and a pointy orange beak. The glass body is inserted into a metal cup which attaches to the clip. The base of the owl is wrapped with tucksheer greenery, such a nice and rare find!. It measures 2.75 inches tall including the clip, with the glass owl 1.5 inches. It is in excellent condition free of chips, cracks, or wear. The original metal clip shows oxidation but works beautifully.

What an amazing and striking antique vintage German glass owl ornament. A must have for any antique German or figural ornament collection. A thoughtful gift for the bird lover!

SIDE NOTE: This ornament was made by a Lauscha producer in the 1940s. Lauscha craftsmen were trying to reestablish their ornament shops just after the War. But unfortunately, the US put a huge tariff on ornaments coming from East Germany. This makes these quite rare and desirable.

We have a wonderful selection of pre-1946 glass ornaments you might like!
