1940s Vintage Glass Tree Topper Double Indent Christmas Tree Top in Box, Fluted Blown Glass

Colorful vintage blown glass tree topper ornament with two colorful indents and a tall fluted spire, circa later 1940s Germany.

This mercury glass Christmas tree top is in excellent condition complete with the original box. It is bright silver with a deep, dark green double indent sphere. Both sides feature hand painted floral sprays. The tall fluted spire is silver which is a lovely contrast to the multi color stripes. The spire colors are repeated inside the deeply molded starburst indents, so beautiful! (These particular colors are indicative of the late 1940s post war German ornaments.)

It measures 9 inches tall, and the double indent sphere is 2 inches wide. It is so sparkly and is in excellent vintage condition free of chips or cracks, with minimum wear. The floral decoration is crisp. It comes with its original box which measures 11.5 inches by 2.5 inches.
