Antique 5” German Bumpy Icicle Christmas Ornament, Outdent Glass Finial Ornament

Wonderful hard to find extra large bumpy outdent icicle ornament with embossed floral decoration, circa 1930s.

A round, bumpy silver sphere sits atop a long tapered spike finial to form this unique extra large icicle. There are eight raised gold medallion outdents which wrap around the form, with an eight leaf floral spray circling the top. The long tapering icicle features gold and silver lines that alternate for added color and interest. A small pontil finishes the bottom, a signature mouth blown ornament detail.

It measures a large 5 inches tall to the top of the pike and retains the original Lauscha style metal cap. It is in excellent antique condition free of chips or cracks with a bare minimum of paint loss. It is such a pretty and unique antique German ornament, hard to find in this jumbo size. Wonderful!
