Antique Figural Glass Ornament Boy in a Sled German Blown Glass Christmas Ornament 1920s As-Is

Wonderful antique German figural glass ornament, Boy in a Sled, circa 1920s. As-Is with one flaw.

He’s lying back on his sled holding on tight on both sides. He has an expressive smiling face, having so much fun! Curls of hair peek out from under his cap and he wears a pink winter suit which is ribbed. The bottom is lobed and has a small pontil, indicative of a mouth blown glass ornament.

It measures 4 inches tall and is in good antique condition, overall intact but with a broken pike. There is some age silvering loss. Our photos show all sides of this special ornament, including the flaw. The price reflects this accordingly. (The Lightner Rare Antique Christmas Ornament reference book, page 110, has this ornament valued at $200-250.)

He’s a wonderful harder to find old German ornament, a must have for the figural ornament collector!
