Antique Flesh Face Santa with Drum and Toys German Glass Christmas Ornament 1930s

This is a rare uncommon German matte face glass Santa with Venetian dew, circa 1920s-1930s. This ornament is known by several similar names: Santa with a Doll and Drum, Santa with Drum and Toy, and Santa with a Bag and Toys.

He is simply wonderful, full of nicely molded details. He has a rare hand painted flesh face with a full bushy white beard which is covered in fine ground glass dew. This version is quite rare.

He wears his classic red suit which is also trimmed with the Venetian dew. A green sack sits over his right shoulder with toys attached to his belt in front, a drum and a doll. He measures 3.25 inches tall and is topped with an original metal cap. It is in excellent antique condition free of chips or cracks, with just a bit of age related paint loss.
