Antique German Christmas Ornament Uncle Sam Boy, Rare Patriotic Glass Ornament 1920s

Hard to find German patriotic figural glass ornament, circa 1920s.

This is the classic Uncle Sam Boy ornament, a younger version of the USA patriotic Uncle Sam character. German ornament makers catered to the American market with unique, high quality patriotic Christmas decorations and ornaments during this time period.

The molded form features nice details including a detailed hand painted face. He wears a period costume consisting of a buttoned jacket with white dots. He wears red striped trousers with one hand in his pocket, and a blue bow tie. His tall hat finishes the ornament as the pike. He measures 3.75 inches tall to the top of the original unmarked cap and is in excellent condition free of chips or cracks, just a bit of minimum paint loss.
