1900s Antique German Glass Ornament Double Sided Bumpy Star Snowflake

Wonderful early German double sided embossed Christmas ornament, a lovely bumpy star oval! Circa 1900s-1920s.

It is a beautiful complex form, featuring a deeply molded silver oval with abundant fine detail. Eight gold impressed leaves surround a raised red poinsettia star. The sides have a very nice bumpy pattern. Both sides feature this striking design.

It measures 1.75 inches tall and is in excellent antique condition, the silvering strong with just a bit of minor paint loss. It is free of chips or cracks to the ornament, with a chip on the pike. It retains its original hanging loop, likely never having had a cap. Our photos show all sides of this amazing ornament.
